Quick Route App Reviews

Apple Maps

This app is using Apple Maps. I was expecting maps provided by Google. Seller should state that clear. I do not like this app, I would like to get refund.

Its a trick!!!!!

I thought it was google maps and it turned out to be Apple maps. The app looks like it is a google map. I want my money back!!!!!

Very good

They use google data for navigation directions.

Awesome Interface

Cleanest touchscreen directions interface I have seen. Allows me to choose start and destination really quickly. Uses built in maps with google directions which is the perfect combination for me. As Apples maps are easier to read, and googles directions are way ahead.

Transit directions still fail in japan

Quick route still fails when routing with the rail lines. Makes it pretty worthless.

Quick Route fills the Google Maps void and then some.

The interface is pretty and easy to use with slick transitions and user interface. Its better than Google Maps and it fills the giant void (transit, bicycling and walking directions) left by Apples native Maps application. The re-route functionality is great - if you miss a turn all you need to do is tap on your location on the map and a little re-route icon appears at the top of the app prompting you to swipe down and bam! youre re-routed. This is a must-have for anyone who takes the bus or rides their bike.

Covers all the bases and is easy to use

This is an extremely useful maps tool that gives a major step up from the built-in maps function on iOS. The bicycling and transit options are exactly what you would expect from the browser-based Google maps functions, except presented in a much slicker and more intuitive way. I was surprised at how easy it was to select between bus and T routes here in transit-choked Boston--- the app gives you a good deal of confidence that youve chosen to best route and that the scheduling will work out. The pull to re-route feature is a particularly welcome innovation. Its also a great sanity check to be able to just glance at the app to tell if youre still on-route.

Nice backup to iOS maps

Nice to have as backup when iOS maps fails

Awesome map app

Loving the cycling directions

An awesome maps app with Google POI data.

Its such a relief to have Google Places at my fingertips again without having to rely on a web app. Quick Route presents transit routes in a very slick manner, and its very easy to quickly pick a designation and get a route. Switching to alternate routes is actually better than it was in the old Maps app. Five stars for its current execution plus its potential. The app definitely needs a list view for directions but its not a deal breaker. Contact autocomplete would also be amazing, as it currently takes too many taps to select a contacts address. Also, it shows the yellow warning about walking directions being in beta even when Im using transit view.

Internationally approved

Just downloaded, works outside of the US. More soon...

Not google maps

Screenshots show google maps on iP5 yet app has apple maps. Disappointed

Fast

I love how they use 2 maps for choosing your location, one for where youre starting and another for your destination. That helps you get your bearings especially in new areas. Its also great for giving people directions or getting directions between two places that youre not currently in. Overall it seems very fast and well optimized. My biggest complaint about it is the scrolling bright yellow "use caution…" warning that you cant dismiss. Thats way too prominent and annoying. They should remove it, show it once or at the very least make it dismissible.

Quick and snappy, like the bike directions

Nice look. Nice feel. Great for finding new bike routes around the city.

Falls short like most do

When will transit app creators understand that its almost useless to show routes without identifying waypoints? What good is it if you dont know when you are supposed to arrive at a transfer point ?

Needs work

I like the way the app looks. Visually it looks great but functionally it falls short. For example, search results are represented by small dots, I cant tell it to navigate to my desired selection, if you click the navigate icon it chooses a result at random and does not display what your final destination is, no option to see the driving route as a list, the UI can feel as if too much is going on and the search results are not always accurate (I searched for AT&T and it did not return any listings with the word AT&T in them). Judging by the developers previous work, I hope the app improves.

Portland woo woo!

A little bit cluttered. Very interesting and innovative interface though and good visual design. Routing for transit is a bit slow and inconsistent. Looking forward to seeing this app gain some polish.

Not Best For Bus Info

No option to change times or look at different bus info. Ill keep looking.

Simply Amazing

I would just like to start out by saying I love this app. I work for Fed Ex Ground and this app helps a lot. I live in Arkansas and the majority of my deliveries are down rural county rounds. Before I had this app. I was lost all the time. I used to be the last guy back to the terminal everyday. Now Im usually the first one back. Have nothing but good things to say about this app. If I could change one thing it would have to be that I wish I could put more than one route in at a time. Other than that its just AMAZING!!!!!!

No Subways on the map

Doesnt show 2 subway stops that are 2 blocks from me. Why have a train button at all?
